Fisherman and Ferryman Sculptures

The sun burned and the wind scratched the faces of the fisherman and the ferryman, who have been standing on the shore of Lake Balaton since September 1941. They were formed based on existing people by sculptor János Pásztor, who certainly had no idea that his two figures would later be the subject of a friendly custom: the proverb says that anyone who touches their boots will certainly return to Balatonfüred.
