Almán-Tető

The highest point of the county is marked by a beautifully carved wooden grave marker: you are at an elevation of 316.43 metres. The view is not spectacular from here, as the top of the hill is covered with forest, but it is worth coming here anyway: this place is also called as the Scythian Golgotha, i.e. where early Middle-Ages Hungarian tribe chief Koppány was supposedly killed.
