Fancsika Castle

Based on its cheerful sounding name, you may probably expect something different if you are looking for „Fancsika” on the gently ascending Vár utca. In the former Israelite cemetery you can find the traces of a small square palisade from the 16th century, which was used as a defence against the Turkish invasion, before they could reach the line of fortified castles that protected the borders of Hungary.
