Protection forest in Hévíz – Festetics avenue of trees

The prehistoric ambience of the bald cypresses around Lake Hévízi and the double row of bald cypresses lining the bike path between Keszthely and Hévíz are reminiscent of the Festetics family. The avenue connected the family's property in Hévíz with the estate in Keszthely. In addition to their cultural and historical importance, the trees also have extraordinary dendrological, landscaping and aesthetic value, so it is not surprising that they are under nature protection.
