St. Donát Chapel, Hollád

The St. Donát chapel in Hollád welcomes visitors looking for peace and quiet in an idyllic environment on Barihegy. Although you need to get away from Hollád a little to see the chapel, it is definitely well worth the trip as the building enclosed in nature offers an incomparable view and gives the chance to slow down a bit. Interestingly, the chapel named after St. Donát, the patron saint of vineyards, was a popular place for the inhabitants of the villages of Hollád and Tikos who held a religious feast and other celebrations on the day of the saint, August 7th.
