Church Ruins of Papsoka

The Romanesque church was built on the foundations of an old Roman villa, which for a long time was a parish church for the former village of Papsoka. Like many other churches, it was destroyed during the Turkish occupation of the country. Surrounded by an abandoned cemetery, the partially rebuilt church is today a romantic area of Balatonfüred with a beautiful view of the Tihany peninsula.
