Ranolder Castle

A romantic castle stands in the middle of a beautiful park – once the property of János Ranolder, bishop of Veszprém, who commissioned a lot of buildings around here. The popular clergyman died here in 1875, and since then the owners of the famous castle have changed frequently. The building, which was damaged in the 20th century, was partially rebuilt, and although the interior is not open to public it is still worth a visit!
