Sió Lock

Without Sió, the shores of Lake Balaton would be quite different from those we know today. This natural river, flowing into the Danube after its 120 km journey, ensures that the pleasures of the lake can be enjoyed regardless of the weather and changes in the water level of Lake Balaton. During the reform era, the role of Sió was reassessed - with gradual expansion it was transformed into a navigable route.
