A cukrászdát 1985-ben alapította Hencz Gábor édesapja, és megalapozta a hírnevét. Kedvelt sütiző- és főleg fagyizóhelynek számít, a családi recept alapján készülő rétesnek és a már-már retrónak számító gombócos fagyinak sok rajongója van. A krémes pedig tényleg a Balaton egyik legjobbja.
